What it is and why you want it.
Where is it? was created to meet several different needs.
What would happen if my house or apartment burned down, blew away or some other disaster that left nothing behind? Sure, you have insurance but how do you prove to the insurance company what you had? Do you even know everything you have? How do you know what the value is?
Have you ever had trouble finding something? Maybe you think you remember where you put your stuff, but do you really? Tell Where is it? where you put that doohickey you are now looking for and Where is it? will help you find it.
Where is it? can help you determine your net
worth, by assisting you in evaluating what you have.
Where is it? will help remind you when your
warranties on your belongings are about to expire.
Where is it? contains NO SPY WARE or AD WARE!
Where is it? is fast, convenient to use, takes up little drive space (if you use lots of pictures, they will take up more drive space) but the program itself is quite compact. Where is it? prefers Windows 2000 or Windows XP, but it has been tested and works well with Windows 98. It will not work with any 16 bit version of Windows.
Where is it? is offered as shareware. You may try this fine program free for 30 days. If you decide that it is not what you want, merely uninstall it. If you decide to continue using it, you should register it. Registration is simple and pretty cheap. Connect to the internet if you aren't already and then Click Here.

What it isn't: Where is it? contains no ad ware, no spy ware--none of that junk! The only time Where is it? will attempt to "phone home" to it's maker is to report an error. And that error reporting is done via e-mail. You, the user, will have an opportunity to inspect that email, read it in full detail, before deciding whether or not to send it on. In fact, you can add your own comments to the email before you send it. All Where is it? does is to invoke your MAPI email client and pre-load the message text with the our error reporting. Hopefully you will never have to see an error, but if one happens we want to correct it! |
